And beg for his assisting grace
That he may save you all.

Grave No 40

Sacred to the memory of Joseph Sidney Pilling son of William Pilling of Mirfield who died on the
29th day of March 1806 aged 10 years.
Pause here and think, a monitory rhyme.
Demands one moment of thy fleeting time, consult lifes silent clock thy bounding vien !
Seems it to say health here as long to reign,
Hast thou the vigour of thy youth and ere that hears delight,
A hart untaught to lie, yet fear youth oft when healthful and at ease.
Too fondly counts the day it never see's, and many tomb like Sidney's cries aloud mortal
prepare thee for an early shroud!.
Also William Hampden Pilling Died 22nd of June 1817 aged 19 years.
When age all patient and without regret
Lies down in peace and pays the general debt,
Tis weakness most unmanly to deplore
The death of those who relish life no more
But when fair youth that every promise gave
Sheds his sweet blossom in the blasting grave
All eyes overflow with many streaming tear
And each sad bosom here the sigh sincere
And also of Mary Pilling who died on the 5th August 1801 aged 19 month
