Grave No 61

Beneath this tomb lieth interred Susanna late wife of Robert Heward of Clecheaton who died May 16th 1814 aged 80 years.
Also the above Robert Heward who departed this life May 31st 1850 aged 80 years.
Also Anna the wife of the above named Robert Heward who departed this life the 14th day of September 1854 aged 73 years.

Grave No 62

Sacred to the memory of Joseph son of Joseph and Lydia Adamson of Blakelaw who died the 30th day of November 1773 aged 2 years
Also Lydia wife of the above named Joseph Adamson who died 20th day of October 1809 aged 68 years.
Likewise the above mentioned Joseph Adamson who died the 21st day of November 1813 aged 70 years.
And of James and George their sons who died in their infancy.

Grave No 63

Here lieth interred the body of Ann the daughter of James Robertshaw of Hartshead who departed this life on the 14th day of February 1784 in the 30th  year of her age.
Go home dear friends and shed no tears
For I must lie till Christ appears.
And when Christ appears I hope to have.
A joyful from the grave.
Also Joseph Robertshaw of Hartshead who died February 26th 1847 aged 66 years
Also Nancy daughter of the above Joseph Robertshaw who died December 4th 1859 aged 34 years.
Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord.
Also Mary wife of the above named Joseph Robertshaw who died October 27th 1861 aged 74 years
Also Maria daughter of the above Joseph Robertshaw who died July 5th 1873 aged 57 years.

In Memory of Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Oldroyd of Mirfield who departed this life November 9th 1804 in the 27th year of her age.
To thee dear Lord I her resign
My loss is her great gain.
Thy lovely gift was wholly thine.
Why then should I complain.
Also near this place lieth the remains of William their son who departed this life on May the 1st 1804 in the 1st year of his age.
also the remains of John son of Thomas and Mary Oldroyd who departed this life on July 23rd 1829 in the 18th year of his age.
Also Henry, Betty and Richard who died in their Infancy.
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.
Also the above Thomas Oldroyd who died June 20th 1816 aged 69 years
Also Mary wife of the above Thomas Oldroyd who died on the 26th day of July 1855 aged 85 years.

In Memory of Henry son of Jane Armytage of Hartshead who died February 24th 1810 aged 11years and 3 month.
Also of Edward Thomas Armytage who died January 21st 1846 aged 5 years and 10 month.
Also James and Mary Ann who died in their Infancy.
Also Albert son of Isaac and Hannah Armytage who died October 7th 1865 aged 3 month.

Grave No 66

Here lyeth the body of John Pilling of Kirklees Mill who departed this life on the 23rd day of June in the 75th year of his age 1719.
Lancashire gave me life.
Yorkshire closed my eyes
Here must return to dust.
Until the great arise.
Also the body of John Pilling who died March 11th 1772 aged 23 years.

Grave No 67

Here lie the bodie of John Pilling of Kerklis millne miller who departed this life 17th day of October in the 74th year of his age A.D 1680.

Sacred to the memory.
This monumental tome calls to remembrance the remains of Joseph Pilling late of Kirklees mill, fulling miller, yeoman who departed this life the 6th day of March 1781 in the 79th year of his age.
Also the remains of Alse the wife of the above mentioned Joseph Pilling who departed this life the 26th day of August 1755 in the 53rd year of her age.
Also here lie the remains of Hannah the second wife of the above mentioned Joseph Pilling who departed this life the 12th day of January 1767 in the 53rd year of her age.
The voice the body rise.
Will find out every one.
And tho’ we slumber here a while.
Upon this dusty bed.
I know we shall be called upon.
When Christ shall raise the dead.

Grave No 69

Here lieth interred the body of John Pilling III of Kirklees mill who departed this life the 19th day of March 1749 in the 75th year of his age.
Altho’ my trade a miller was.
There rested many near this place.
Whose epitaphs I have set down.
But now thou doesn’t behold my own.
And so I am so thou must be.
Prepare thyself to follow me.
John Pilling of Mirfield low mills but formerly of Kirklees mill, and great-grandson of the above John Pilling.

Grave No 70

In youth his country’s battles fought A patriot died as he’d been taught.
June 10th 1839 in the 76th year of his age.
Here lieth interred the body of Jane wife of John Pilling III of Kirklees mill who departed this life the 14th day of February 1737 aged 67 years.
All you that come my grave to see.
What I am now so you must be.
Fly sin therefore live godly still.
Then welcome death come when it will.
In Memory of Sarah Pilling wife of John Pilling of Mirfield low mill who died on September 24th 1844 aged 83 years.
Here rests in hope.
Jane Pilling only daughter of John and Sarah Pilling of Mirfield low mill who departed this life on January 1st 1848 in the 54th year of her life.

Here lieth the body of Richard son of William Popplewell of Hartshead Bachelor who departed this life on the 27th day of May in the 55th year of his age 1721.
Reader as he so thou must shortly be.
All flesh grim death is subject unto thee.
Thus rich and poor mighty as well as mean.
Time calls and they return to dust again.
Also the body of Thomas Popplewell of Hartshead who died April 28th 1751 in the 76th year of his age.

Here lieth the body of Richard son of William Popplewell of Hartshead Bachelor who departed this life on the 27th day of May in the 55th year of his age 1721.

In Memory of Mary Ann daughter of David and Nancy Sheard of Robertown who departed this life June 4th 1840 in the 22nd year of her age.
also George Sheard her brother of Huddersfield who died on February 21st 1899 aged 86 years.

Here lies interred Joseph Kitson son of George and Lydia Kitson and grandson of the late Joseph Pilling of Kirklees mills who departed this life on December 5th 1806 aged 5 years.
Also of the above named George Kitson who died on December 6th 1837 aged 58 years.
Also Lydia relict of the above George Kitson who died on December 16th 1843 aged 69 years.

Grave No 75

In Memory of Betty daughter of Christopher Rawford who died on June 2nd 1837 aged 14 years.
Also Edwin their son who died April 22nd 1840 aged 6 years.

Grave No 76

In Memory of Lucy wife of William Marsden of Brighouse Born June 24th 1875.Died December 25th 1891.
Also the above named William Marsden Born February 18th 1818. Died June 2nd 1892.

Grave No 77

Also of the above named Jane Brooke who departed this life on the 15th May 1818 aged 58 years
The above named Charles Brooke died the 8th day of March 1819 in the 67th year of his age.
Samuel Brooke of Gomersall son of the above Charles and Jane Brooke died 1st July 1819 aged 29 years.

Grave No 78

In Memory of Lavinia daughter of John and Ellenor Goldthorp of Cleckheaton who departed this life on the 25th May 1850 aged 15 years.
Also the above Ellenor Goldthorp who died on November 6th 1865 aged 73 years.
Blessed are the peacemakers.

Grave No 79

Here resteth in the hopes of joyful resurrection the remains of Lydia the daughter of John Goldthorp of Clifton who departed this life the 5th day of December A.D 1789 aged 24 years.
Also Ann the daughter of Sam and Ann Goldthorp who departed this life the 9th day of February 1813 aged 16 years.
Likewise Ellen daughter of the above Sam and Ann Goldthorp who died on the 12th day of June 1835 aged 41 years.
Also Ann wife of the above named Sam Goldthorp and Mother of the above Ann and Ellen their daughter who departed this life the 21st day of March 1838 aged 67 years.

Grave No 80

Here was interred the body of Sarah the wife of John Goldthorp of Clifton who departed this life on the 15th day of February A.D 1782 in the ## year of his age.
Also here lieth interred the remains of William son of the above mentioned John and Sarah Goldthorp who departed this life on the 22nd day of December A.D 1801 in the 50th year of his age.
Likewise two children. :- William and Lydia.
William died on the 12th of January A.D 1790 in the 1st year of his age.
Lydia died on the 20th day of February A.D 1794 in the 3rd year of her age.
In Affectionate Memory of Robert Goldthorp of Huddersfield who died June 15th 1867 in the 59th year of his age.
Also Sarah relict of the above Robert Goldthorp Born June 24th 1810. Died April 16th 1884.

Grave No 81

Here was interred the body of Robert Goldthorp late of Brighouse who departed this life on February 13th 1770 aged 37 years.
Short was my time, the longer my rest.
God takes the soonest, those he loves best.
Also the body of Mary wife of John Goldthorp of Clifton who departed this life June 16th 1865 aged 68 years.
Also the said John Goldthorp of Clifton who departed this life 18th March 1813 aged 86 years.
Also John Goldthorp of Cleckheaton who died October 26th 1870 in his 81st year.

Grave No 82

Beneath this stone lies interred Robert Goldthorp of Hartshead who departed this life the 8th day of May 1806 in the 44th year of his age.
Also Robert is son who departed this life the 15th day of March 1793 in the 6th year of his age.
Also David his son who departed this life on the 20th day of January 1791 in the 2nd year of his age.
Also Lydia wife of the above said Robert Goldthorp who departed this life the 18th day of January 1835 aged 68 years.
Also Sarah daughter of the above and wife of Robert Heward Brougton who died at Brighouse the 27th day of January 1876 aged 72 years.

Grave No 83

Here lieth interred the body of Robert Heward of Clifton who departed this life the 8th day of November Anno Domm 1778 in the 47th year of his age.
Forty six years have I lived, wholdst thou so too.
Be thou as I quiet just and temperate breath.
My berth in Sowerby, in Clifton my death.
Man knows the place of life, but not of Death.
Also the body of John their son who died in 2nd year of his age.
Also here lieth interred the remains of Sarah the wife  of the abovesaid Robert Heward who departed this life the 19th day of July 1811 in the 77th year of her age.
Reader reflect on your eternal home
A dyeing Saviour and life to come.
And now while is given to merry fly.
Nor wait tomorrow lest tonight you die.
Also Robert Hirst grandson of the above Robert and Sarah Heward who died October 25th 1854 aged 69 years.

In Memory of Ellenor wife of Thomas Jackson who died September 21st 1865 aged 66 years.

Beneath this stone lies Hannah wife of the late William Goldthorp of Clifton who died the 24th day January 1803 aged 49 years.
Also Sarah wife of Joseph Gilpin of Guildersome and daughter of the above said William and Hannah Goldthorp who died the 20th day of August 1805 aged 22 years.
Also Jane daughter of the above said William and Hannah Goldthorp who died the 16th day of May 1806 aged 11 years.
Also Francis the wife of John Goldthorp of Clifton who died April 18th 1830 aged 49 years.
Also Rachel wife of John Craig daughter of John and Francis Goldthorp who died on the 11th day of December 1837 aged 24 years.
Also the above John Goldthorp Land Surveyor Brighouse who departed this life February 22nd 1858 aged ## years.
Also Sam son of Timothy and Grace Ann Goldthorp. Grandson of the above John Goldthorp who died December 26th 1889 aged 16 years.
Also two Children who died in their infancy.
Also ### Goldthorp grandson of the above who died September 15th 1895 aged 57 years

Also Margaret Brook daughter of the above parent’s who died the 7th day of April 1833 aged 17 years.
Likewise the above named Thomas Waller who departed this life December 25th 1833 aged 67 years.
And of Thomas son of the above who departed this life October 4th 1835 aged 24 years.
Also Elizabeth Brook daughter of the above named who departed this life 30th day July 1836 aged 32 years.
Also Grace relict of the above named Thomas Waller who died January 27th 1839 aged 55 years.

In Memory of Edward Wilby son of Edward Wilby of Dewsbury moor who departed this life on the 16th day of June 1829 aged 25 years.
Also Anne daughter of the above named Edward and Mary Wilby and wife of William Wilby of Oporto. Merchant who departed this life on the 1st day January 1832 aged 56 years leaving her husband and two children Henry Edward and Lavinia Anne to lament their lose.

Here lies the body of Anna Woodhead daughter of Isaac Woodhead of Clifton who departed this life on the 12th day of May 1803 in the 22nd year of her age.
Repent in time.
Take no delay.
In my youth.
I’m called away.
Also Sarah wife of the above Isaac Woodhead who died the 22nd day of March 1823 aged 81 years.
Also Sam son of Isaac Woodhead junior who died 27th day of September 1842 aged 19 years.
Also  the above named Isaac Woodhead junior who died in the 24th of November 1854 aged 66 years.
